We're excited to announce that during November/December 2017, the British Council will be passing full ownership of EAL Nexus to The Bell Foundation. For the past two years, the British Council and The Bell Foundation have run the EAL Nexus site in partnership. The site has been managed by the British Council and all the new content has been created by The Bell Foundation. This change in ownership means that the site will be able to continue and develop going forwards. We believe that with one organisation owning and running the site, it will be possible to maintain the high quality you're used to, and to add functionality and meet your needs in new ways. There are no plans to remove the materials currently on the site, so you can go on using the site just as you have been.
On a practical level, any account information registered users entered during registration is owned by the British Council, and personal data (for example, email addresses) cannot legally be given to The Bell Foundation. As a result, user accounts on EAL Nexus are being deleted as part of the handover process. We're sorry for any inconvenience that will cause our registered users.
We're looking forward to this new chapter in the life of EAL Nexus. Please watch this space for updates and get in touch if you have any questions or comments.
